Crinkled Reissue 2.55 227 Flap Bag

Re-introduced in 2005 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original, Chanel’s 2.55 Reissue maintains the same revolutionary design elements introduced by the eponymous founder in 1955 – most notably the practical and liberating shoulder strap.

This 2012 black iteration boasts gold-tone hardware and all the heritage flap bag details along with the equally iconic double flap construction. The additional layer is carried over from Karl Lagerfeld’s progeny Classic Flap style, and sits below the larger exterior one (whose interior zip pocket is rumoured to have been used by Coco Chanel to hide love letters) to separate and protect the main compartment and its contents.
