Casual Retail Sales Assistant - Bondi and Clovelly

As a Casual Retail Sales Assistant, you will be part of the successful running of Trading in Style’s bricks and mortar stores, working across both the Clovelly and Bondi locations as needed.

You will oversee all in store operations and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining the store to the highest standards. Additionally, you will book and carry out consignment appointments and work with the Edit and Consignment Departments to ensure a cohesive operation.

What the role entails:

  • Providing a high level of customer service with the aim of building and maintaining long term relationships with customers and consigners
  • Offering appropriate styling advice, assisting customers and providing a positive customer experience 
  • Maintaining exceptional visual merchandising standards
  • Using your knowledge of market trends and understanding of international and local tastes to approve in store consignments

Desirable skills, attributes and experience:

  • Experience in fashion retail
  • Experience managing and developing an active client base
  • Strong merchandising standards and store presentation skills
  • Well informed about international and Australian fashion and design trends along with a genuine personal interest in luxury designers
  • Ability to identify consignment items that align with the Trading in Style brand and value system
  • A desire to achieve KPIs and sales targets while supporting brand initiatives and promotions
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A strong sense of personal style combined with a proven background in sales and customer service
  • Forward thinking and creative with the ability to interpret trends to suit your customer
  • An engaging and natural approach when creating lasting customer relationships 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work at least one weekend day per week

Full Time Junior Social Media Assistant - Head Office, Clovelly

As a Junior Social Media Assistant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of Edit stock, merchandising, filming support and content capture, ensuring each Edit runs seamlessly, meets commercial targets and reflects the Trading in Style brand at a premium level.

This is a highly organised, proactive and detail-driven role, ideal for someone with a strong eye for fashion, styling and content, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Hours: Full time – 5 days per week Monday to Friday

Location: Clovelly Head Office

What the role entails:

  • Coordination, organisation and maintenance of the Edit stock room, including preparation, merchandising and pack downs of the Daily Edits, monitoring product movement and management of Edit stock accordingly, and proactively identifying stock opportunities
  • Ensuring Edit selections are appropriate and tailored for each presenter, including styling assistance and on-set coordination
  • Brief presenters at the start of each Edit with key information and prompts (e.g. website drops, consignment call-outs, events)
  • Preparation of the Edit for the following day, ensuring continuity and efficiency, with a strong focus on KPIs
  • Working closely with the Consignment, Ecommerce and Retail departments, managing stock and assisting with store transfers 
  • Preparing and activating all back-end links for Edits, uploading product imagery, ensuring images appear luxe and accurately reflect each item
  • Ensuring all Edit-related tasks are actioned post-filming including the management of the highlights section and delivering exceptional customer service across all channels
  • Supporting other departments as needed

This is a highly organised, proactive and detail-driven role, ideal for someone with a strong eye for fashion, styling and content, who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Hours: Casual – Monday, Wednesday and Friday plus weekend hours available

Location: Bondi Store

What the role entails:

  • Coordination, organisation and maintenance of Edit stock, including preparation, merchandising and pack downs of the Daily Edits, and proactively identifying stock opportunities
  • Ensuring Edit selections are appropriate and tailored for each presenter, including styling assistance and on-set coordination
