Accessories

• 50% – for all items under $999

If you wish to consign designer items with us, and you cannot provide and authenticity documents, there will be a fee of $42 - $200 to authenticate your item in-house. You can read more about Entrupy here.

 

Any additional cleaning required to bring the item to saleable standard, will also be charged to the consignor.

The full Trading in Style service:

• Items are priced based on extensive market research. Each item is assessed and priced according to its condition, how current it is and secondary market value.
• Items are styled by Trading in Style and sold via a live Instagram edit and/or in store capitalising on our highly active database online and TIS community.
• Exceptional and responsive customer service to assist with customer queries around sizing, styling and item condition.
• Process all sales and ship to customers within 24hrs Monday – Friday.

Condition guidelines:

 

Excellent
Item is pre-owned and in excellent condition, either with tags, or unworn with no signs of wear.

Very Good
Item is pre-loved, has been lightly used and is in very good condition, showing little signs of wear.

Good
Item is pre-loved, has been used and is in good condition, with some wear and / or imperfections present such as (but not limited to) scratches, stains or marks.

Well-Loved
Item is pre-loved, has been used frequently and shows signs of wear and / or damage such as (but not limited to) scratches, stains or marks.

Please note, the condition of each item will be determined by our consignment team at their discretion.

Unsold items will be returned or donated to charity after 6 weeks, consignor to advise. An email will be sent after 6 weeks advising the consignor to collect any unsold items, if not collected within 10 days we will donate to charity partner Dress for Success on your behalf. If client opts for returns to be mailed, this will be at consignor’s expense.

Consignors are paid on a three week cycle via direct deposit.

Please understand that once you are handing over your items, the intention is then to sell. Our expert team starts our service by researching, authenticating, pricing and preparing your garments for sale, which is a rigorous process . Should you choose not to consign your items with us once priced, a service fee will be charged. Fees are as follows: 5 or less items $50; 6-15 items $100; 16 or more items $150. This fee is in addition to any cleaning or authenticity charges that may apply. Thank you for your understanding.

During the agreed consignment period, Trading in Style takes full responsibility for your items. In the event this occurs, the Consignor will be paid their commission (less the 20%) as agreed.

Please allow 20% movement with the final sale price. We will always endeavour to get the original agreed sale price. If we manage to sell your item(s) for more than the agreed price we will honour the higher commissioned amount. The updated spreadsheet will reflect the final adjusted sale price and your commission.

Here's what you need to do:

 

1. Send photos of the item(s) you wish to sell via Instagram or email.

If you have in excess of 20 items you can book in for a virtual consignment appointment. We also offer a concierge service for excess of 30 items, please email consignments@tradinginstyle.com to arrange a home visit.

 

2. Once your items have been approved by our team, please post your items to 216a Clovelly Road, Randwick, NSW, 2031, or drop your items to 207 Clovelly Road, Randwick, NSW, 2031 (Tuesday to Friday 10am – 3pm) or to Shop 6/157 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026 (Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 10am - 4pm) with a packing slip.
It is crucial this is provided with your item(s) to ensure our team has as much information as possible when we come to pricing.

 

3. Once we have received your items, please allow up to 7 business days for our consignment team to process your consignment. You will then receive an email requesting your approval on pricing, along with a copy of our terms and conditions.

 

4. After your approval our team will start selling and re-homing your pieces.
