With its sleek lines inspired by racing yachts, J12 is the first unisex sports watch by CHANEL. Made from ultra-resistant yet soft ceramic, it is impervious to the passage of time. Model information:
Name: J, like the initial of the legendary racing yachts that inspired the J12: the J Class.
Case: The case consists of a single middle section made from one piece of highly resistant white ceramic.
Crown: The screw-down steel crown guarantees water resistance to 200 metres and can be easily recognised by its highly resistant white ceramic cabochon.
Bezel: The unidirectional rotating steel bezel features a white polished sapphire ring that ensures accurate time reading.
Dial: The white lacquered dial is set with 12 diamond hour markers (~0.09 carat).
Hands: The hands are rhodium-plated and coated with a luminescent material applied by hand such that they are immediately legible.
Caseback: The back of the watch features a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating to reveal the Manufacture movement.
Movement: The Calibre 12.1 is a self-winding movement produced at the Kenissi Manufacture in Switzerland, co-owned by CHANEL. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, it’s chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.
Strap: The bracelet is made of highly resistant white ceramic links, which have been assembled by hand.
Buckle: The triple-folding buckle in steel is composed of 4 elements meticulously assembled by hand.
