Louis Vuitton’s Damier Ebene is a classic, durable, and iconic checkerboard canvas, introduced in 1888 as the brand's first signature pattern. Featuring a dark brown and chocolate brown checkered design, it is coated for water resistance and is renowned for its low-maintenance durability. Created by Georges Vuitton in 1888 to combat counterfeiting, it was reintroduced in 1998 and is considered more understated than the Monogram print.
The Alma BB handbag was first introduced in 1934. This model is crafted from Damier Ebene with smooth leather edging, and features gold-tone hardware, including padlock and keys and four protective gold-tone metal feet at the base. It has dual Toron handles, leather key bell, and a detachable shoulder strap. Inside, the bag is lined with red cotton textile, with one slip pocket.
