Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis is a glossy patent leather line featuring the embossed LV monogram. Introduced in 1998 as part of Marc Jacobs’ debut collection for Louis Vuitton, the French word "vernis" means varnish, reflecting the mirror-like, high-shine finish.
This Marc Jacobs era Louis Vuitton handbag is crafted from dark Amarante purple patent Monogram Vernis leather with Vachetta leather trim, dual shoulder straps and gold-tone hardware. The bag has a top zip closure, and the interior is lined with purple cotton textile, with two slip pockets.
