Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis is a glossy patent leather line featuring the embossed LV monogram. Introduced in 1998 as part of Marc Jacobs’ debut collection for Louis Vuitton, the French word "vernis" means varnish, reflecting the mirror-like, high-shine finish.
Circa 2010, this Melrose bag is crafted from Amarante purple Monogram Vernis leather with gold-tone hardware, four protective metal feet, dual rounded top handles, push-lock fastening, padlock detail and a detachable clochette. The bag has three internal compartments, with the middle main section secured by a top zipper.
