In September 1995, Lady Diana – who was visiting Paris for the opening of the Paul Cézanne retrospective at the Grand Palais – was offered a Dior bag to wear on her various outings. Thanks to this exceptional ambassador, the bag’s name was a given: it was to be called Lady Dior.
The Lady Dior bag epitomizes the House's vision of elegance and beauty. Sleek and refined, the timeless style is crafted in black grained calfskin with Cannage stitching, creating the instantly recognizable quilted texture. Silver-finish metal D.I.O.R. charms offer elegant appeal. Featuring a thin removable leather shoulder strap, the medium Lady Dior bag can be carried by hand or worn crossbody. - Dior
Recently reimagined by newly appointed Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, the current RRP starts at around $10,200 for a Small Lady Dior.
Crafted from black calfskin with quilted Cannage stitching, this medium Lady Dior bag features silver-tone metal D.I.O.R. charms, four metal protective feet, top zip closure and a CD embossed zipper pull. The bag has dual smooth leather handles and a removable thin flat black leather shoulder strap. Inside, the bag is lined with black nylon textile and has one zip pocket.
