After a winter of polished tailoring, leather, funnel necks and structured silhouettes, spring is shifting into something softer, more fluid, more playful, and a little more undone.
Layers that look like they've been grabbed almost at random, luscious lace and fringe, textures galore and cheeky elements from slogan tee shirts to unexpected accessories. Sportswear and utility wear paired with sequins and skirts, loud pops of colour and no-holds-barred accessorising. Think brooches, baseball caps, scarves and rhinestones. We're ramping it up to the max, more-is-more, because if you're not having fun with fashion, then what's the point?!
High-Energy Colours: Standout hues like chartreuse, electric blue, cherry red, lilac and warm butter yellow paired with soft neutrals, plus the yummy chocolate browns and plum burgundy we've been loving for a couple of seasons now. Don't be scared to mix them together in unexpected ways.
Chic Sporty: a trend that persists, but mix it up – soccer shorts with ballet flats, tracksuit pants with a crisp button down shirt. Textile wise reach for nylons, viscose and cottons, terry towelling and jersey.
Utility Dressing: Cargo pants, camo, transparent PVC, rain jackets, chore jackets and boiler suits, Utility Dressing is inspired by workwear and technical wear and is both weather- and life-resistant.
Innovative Layering & Boho Vibes: Get creative with slinky slip dresses worn over tailored pants, oversized slogan / branded tee shirts over skirts, or lightweight sheer kimonos. Plus, denim-on-denim-on-denim. Polished cottage-core styles featuring white and cream linen, smocked dresses, puff sleeves, and lace-trimmed tops feature alongside silky pyjama sets, floral skirts and lace trims on everything.
Textured and Open Weave: Mixing and matching crochet, raffia, open-weave knits, and tactile details like fringe and feathers add depth to casual daytime outfits.
Footwear and Accessories: Crochet (see above) ballet flats are still in everyone's high rotation, as are boots (juxtaposed with bare legs or softer textiles for warmer months), flip flops remain on trend, and we're seeing more sleek "Jazz" shoes and Oxford brogues, moccasin style loafers with ankle socks and "sneakerinas" – a cute mash up of sneakers and Ballet flats. As for bags: semi-structured barrel bags, oversized hobo bags, vintage styles (or their corresponding re-issues) OR no bag at all. Utilise those pockets, girl.
Brooches are being integrated into every outfit, try adding them to your baseball cap, your lapel, your bag or the bottom of your jeans!
Everything that can be bedazzled should be, statement jewellery is in, so are oversized sunglasses (YSL, Gucci, Celine, Tom Ford) and pearls are having a long awaited comeback. And, don't forget 2026's hardest working accessory: scarves – as belts, in your hair and on your bag. Pair your oversized sunnies with your headscarf for the ultimate cool girl vibes.
