Hermès Evelyne 16 Amazone Bag.
The Evelyne bag was designed by head of Hermès' riding department, Evelyne Bertrand, in 1978, as a practical, hands-free carrier for equestrian grooming tools such as brushes and sponges, featuring a perforated "H" for ventilation. It stayed uniquely within the equestrian department for decades before being introduced to the general public in the early 2000s, and transformed into the beloved, casual luxury icon, prized for its simple design and functionality.
Circa 2021, this Hermès Evelyne bag is crafted from Clemence leather in the Verte Cypres colour way, with gold-tone hot stamping and hardware, the perforated H logo on the front of the bag and an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap. The bag has a large slip pocket on the back, and has a press stud closure.
