Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis is a glossy patent leather line featuring the embossed LV monogram. Introduced in 1998 as part of Marc Jacobs’ debut collection for Louis Vuitton, the French word "vernis" means varnish, reflecting the mirror-like, high-shine finish.
This Marc Jacobs era Louis Vuitton Summit Drive bag is made from glossy, cherry red Monogram embossed Vernis leather. It features adjustable rolled Vachetta leather handles, gold-tone hardware, two exterior slip pockets, and a red cotton textile lined interior with two slip pockets and a double-zip top closure.
