Jenna and Bianca credit their Mothers for being role models and forever providing them with daily inspiration.
Bianca and Jenna voiced their respect for all women and mother figures juggling the load, specifically the mental and emotional load of life and children combined. They say they couldn't do it themselves without their mothers support, help and advice.
Lindi and Aline love being Grand Mothers to their girls children, and find it inspiring watching them being mothers. Aline sums up both her and Lindi's admiration of Jenna and Bianca, saying 'They are the best mothers and have such a fantastic business. They are aspirational women, as themselves and through their great level of commitment to their families, friends and running a business.'
As women our body changes and the way that we dress depends on the age and stage you are in your life. Bianca and Jenna see their mothers as the epitome of always being elegant and stylishly dressed, and have been all their lives.
We asked them about their style ethos and how being mothers informs their fashion choices:
Aline: The rules that I live by in fashion? The rules keep changing! We all wear different hats, grand mother, business owner and wife to name a few, I try to make sure the way I dress makes me feel happy. It’s not about ‘dressing for your age’ but rather about not allowing myself to become older before my time, after all 60 is the new 50 ! I want to dress in what’s current and comfortable, and feel good about myself.
Lindi: The most important thing for me is to be comfortable. I always remembered the phrase I was once told that ‘You are received the way you are dressed’. So I’m always very conscious of dressing the part, I like things to match and I think that you ultimately can wear anything – so long as you have a beautiful pair of shoes and a gorgeous handbag.
Bianca: As Jen mentioned earlier and I agree since becoming a mother, I’m all about the high waist, I love a long line wide leg and they are so comfortable. I want to be comfortable all the time. I love a body suit at the moment, I think it’s a really flattering look and also shows off you arms and shoulders nicely, playing to my strengths, like mum said we have that in common!
Jenna: I definitely dress depending on my mood and what the weather is doing, everybody does. My style has evolved since becoming a mother and nearly turning 40. As Bianca said, high rise pants and a wide leg, I can never go back to shinny jeans, my days with that are done. I’m loving the 80’s revival! Over oversized blazers and the cinching in of the waist with a logo belt, all things my mum definitely worn when I was growing up - I’m loving that I’m wearing that now!
